I think he means the old problem where weapons would kind of turn 'inside-out' almost. Like, you could see all the components in the gun. Maybe it's the draw order or something, I don't know. Confused

Yeah

It is not Blitz or SW. The weapon is scaled to a negative way, so you can see its inside. It is not a problem, that is the way how it should work.

i noticed when you subdivide ur weapons in 3dsmax or ac3d giving it more poly counts that it comes out normal looking..even with out textures..try that it works in my sw2

I have had good results, by creating the weapon out of one primitive shape(ie cylinder) But if i subdivide it or copy or add any other primitives the weapon will show its insides. This is using fragmotion or milkshape same results. The question is though are we still on theory's or are we sure the model is showing its insides cause of negative scale. any how its time to look towards the future. Merry Xmas to all Very Happy PS Is there any screenshots of the P3D ui out yet Wink

Uh, yeah. Lord Daggothur is right about the weapons. You'll have to box model 'em.

it always worked for me Cool and also if you place the weapon on the left hand side rather than the right it works just fine too;)

Yeah, basically you take a cube/sphere/whatever, and using vertex manipulation, or poly-editing utilites, extrude, reshape, and basically remodel the primitive into whatever it's supposed to be. Smile

P3Ds being made in blitz isnt it?
could unity be used for making a game engine? but then the downside of that is the splash screen

No it couldn't... Unity is an editor with scripting, Leadwerks is an SDK and Blitz is technically an SDK, too.

a suggestion that would be nice is to have set enemy shooting distance, I noticed this in taking over and operation sandman, the enemies can shoot from far away

I think Zoltan's been pretty busy, so I doubt we'll be in luck just yet. It'd be pretty awesome if we did though. Cool

So..... About how much longer, Zoltan? I'm kind of excited for it, will hopefully be the engine I choose to make my current project off of, or maybe UDK, depending on what can be done on it.

I think it may be on the top of my list for future projects. Can't wait to try a demo for it, just hope it doesn't give me a heart attack out of sheer awesomeness (even though it would be a pleasant death).

If you paid for Silent Walk, then your deal has been gotten. P3D is not affiliated with Silent Walk in any way further than its origin, and as such you should not expect any further privileges.

Zoltan has put a lot of time and money into this, for no personal gain. We should all allow him some space, and not demand anything from him.
