There was a 3D game competition here in Hungary, held by the biggest game development site and I've made a small game, BrainForcer3.
The evaluation is in progress, but the game is downloadable. :)

This is also the first official MegaKerma demo game. :D

The game is about 40-60 minutes long.

Have fun!

:o Sweet game design / music...
Menu's, it looks like doom back in the years
Great job man :)
although i wonder why i can't hold more then 1 item at once

i found level 4's level design my favorite :)

on a small note, that jump glitch thingy still exsists :|
with the forcefield on lvl 4 i was able to jump through it with ease...

on lvl 5 i got stuck near the exit :/ didn't knew how to get the final 2 boxes...
so jump trick and on to level 6
star creatures

hard to find the switch on the end of lvl 6

lvl 7 reminded me a bit of doom 3 with the outside missions..

lvl 8 nice outro

Overal A very nice game to play ;)
took me 45 minutes to get there...

Thanks. :)

45 minutes, that's not bad. Actually you seem to be the first one who went through all levels. :D

Just finished the game and oh man! THAT WAS AWESOME

The last two boxes to find on level 8 were a bit hard to find. I also liked talking to the robots!

My favorite part was walking outside, The cool HUD and sound effects and change of gravity were so cool.

And the music was amazing! Did you compose that?

Best Brainforcer out of them all!

I Didn't even know you could do some of the stuff with megakerma in this game until now.

That was great loved it! :D

Live and Prosper

Thanks. :)

Yes I also like the voice of the robots, the spoken words were generated with an online text-to-speech generator. I wanted to generate all sentences (including the player) but I didn't have time. I might extend the game later with this.

Actually I am just trying to figure out what MK is capable of, I think this is not the limit, there might be some more cool things we can create or emulate.

Yes, the musics are my compositions. :D

If you'd like I could voice act the lines of the player.

Also is there anyway of getting the soundtrack for brainforcer 3? I really enjoyed the "sega genesis" vibe from it. :D

Actually the words are already generated with the text-to-speech generator, but they are not yet in the game, because of the deadline. However I am planning to create another demo, so I might need some new voices, thanks :)

Also, the musics in the game are quite short, but I can collect them and release as an OST. :D

Great looking game. What online text to speech generator did you use, may I ask?

Thanks,
Marv

Thanks, Marv. :)

Sure, I was using this tool:

http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tts/tts_example.php

Then I recorded and cut the sound with Audacity.

I just downloaded the game from Game Jolt and am loving it! It is interesting to play a game to solve puzzles, and I like how it is first-person. I am currently stuck on Level 4, so I'll definitely be checking out that walkthrough. I love the music and the graphics, though the character's walking/running speed could be faster (the walk speed should be the run, and the run speed should be faster in my opinion). Other than that, having a lot of fun! I couldn't find Brainforcer 1 and 2 on Game Jolt, so I came here just so I can find and play them!

Also, I noticed the dialogue has no voice, so if you are ever in need of a voice actress, I would be happy to help ^.^

Hi, thanks. :)

(I hope you'll get through on level 4 with the help of the video)

Currently I am not working on the game, this was my entry for a competition, and also it became the first official demo for MegaKerma.

In the future I might need some voice acting, so thank for your offer. :)

I hope you like Brainforcer 1 and 2 as well.

Oh yeah, the video really helped (now I feel stupid; I can't believe I didn't notice that before!) Now Level 5 I am stuck, but the video should also help. I am very impressed with the graphics, it definitely makes me want to try out the engine.

Thanks. :D

99% of the 3D objects are primitives (cubes and cylinders) scaled and rotated. So you don't really need fancy 3D models for a basic good looking game.

That is good to know, plus my brother knows how to make his own textures with GIMP and his own objects in Blender so with a good engine making something neat as this shouldn't be too much of a problem!

Okay, made it to....I think I am on level 8? It's where I need to find 4 this time, the previous level almost scared me with how far you could go out but then luckily I figured out it was an easy cell to find and I didn't need to wander, such a trick! XD

and this shows the power of megakerma.

This is one of the best 3D game engine and is not very famous

is unfair
this engine is very powerful and has a simple programming language
And does not have the reputation it deserves
it is sad
