This is a tutorial on how to make easy fire.
First you will need.
1)Fire plugin for paint.net. Link: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopi ... 16&t=26579
2)The animated gif plugin.Link: http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopi ... 16&t=28407
Step 1
Image
Open a new document.
Step 2
Image
Create a black and white gradient on the canvas.
Step 3
Image
Select the entire canvas.
Step 4
Image
Go to effects>render>Flames and click.
Step 5
Image
Set the scale and roughness and press ok.
Step 6
Image
Create a new layer.
Step 7
Image
Turn off the first layer.
Step 8
Image
Add a black and white gradient to the layer.
Step 9
Image
Select the gradient on the layer.
Step 10
Image
Select effects>render>flames.
Step 11
Image
Once again set scale and roughness but this time press randomize.
Hit ok.
Step 12
Image
Change both layers names to .agif.
Step 13
Image
Hit file save as.
Step 14
Image
Select your directory and hit ok.
Step 15
Image
Set the delay to a low number like 5 and set the repeat to 0 for a loop.Hit ok.

There you go you now have an animated gif of fire.
Sw2 does not support animated gifs but p3d might.

Pretty basic but still a well-written tutorial. Could prove useful for movie editors.

Well you can use multiple planes for 3d effects.
And yeah it is basic but I wanted for people to be able to do it easily.

if you want to use it as vegitation in a game dont use a gradiant back ground, use a bright green or light pink one so it sticks out

The spaces between the flames have to be tranparent because it is fire. A color like those would not be transparent and be too flashy.

I remember I found a tutorial that made the exact flames without the plug in... it was like 400 more steps though =(
