Hey guys here's an example game showcasing a flashlight in Silent Walk Renaissance. There's some other surprises in there too!

How did you do the flashlight effect? That would be perfect for my tombs. Right now I have the basic "grab the light".

By the way...I love the half dude hanging, and wow the realistic blood.

I used the grablight script, set the light range to about 1000 (lol), but i also have fog on and made it very close so the entire level isn't lit up stupidly bright. Then I made it so when you start you pick up a weapon but the weapon has no model or texture and made some code for when you pick the weapon up it add's a HUD image.

The image is all semi transparent .png file, meaning even the darkness around the clear circle is still semi transparent and creates the illusion of light getting darker further away. I can post the file up if you'd like. You can resize it to whatever resolution your game screen is.

Here's the image. You can see how it goes semi transparent. Keep it as a .png since that's the only format that supports transparencies.

Also to use it, use the add hud image script and set the X and y to 0 and 0.

This one's designe for game resolutions in 800x600.

Thanks, Aydan, this is a great example!! Is it possible to use the 'F' key to turn the flashlight on and off?
