*Please forgive me for this pre-emptive WiP post; I'm not home at the moment but when I arrive later today, I'll post a few screenshots of the first level*

Hey guys, my original thread for this game was moved to the SW2 general forum when the boards were rearranged so I figured it deserved a new topic in its rightful place. I happened to be playing a copy of Midway Arcade Treasures for the PS2 this morning and for each of the games on it, they've got interviews with the programmers, developers, etc and I got a wonderful insight to how gameplay mechanics should be designed. This really got my motivation to work on another game up. I know that the past year I've not only posted about ZN3 but about a couple others, "Engel" and I think one about a completely destructable environment, and while these are very ambitious projects, I'd prefer to work on something that's meaningful. The first Zombie Nation was the second game I ever made with Silent Walk, only after the god-awful first effort known as "DeaD EchO", to which I'm glad the original project files have been lost. With all the new features implemented in SWR, I feel that I can finally design the last Zombie Nation game before moving on to other silly projects.

With that said, I'd like to announce a few changes that are going to be made to the game, a few features I'd like to point out, etc:
-Three different game paths; Easy, Difficult, and a third "Developer Commentary" mode just for fun.
-Official title: Zombie Nation 3. I've decided to ditch the nonsense I added for fun to the last thread I posted
-Entirely custom soundtrack. I really want to push all my effort into this thing so that when it's finished I can step back and say, "Yeah, I did that."
-Easter eggs, secret rooms, etc. a la Doom style

So yeah, that's about it for now, I'll post some stuff later regarding progress on the game, maybe a playable demo of the first levels, who knows.

That's the problem with SWR; I can't make them thicker. They either have to be spaced one square grid apart, creating a wall that's TOO wide, or flat like this. I wish I could :(

perhaps use the cube option? apply the texture and then scale it to fit your thickness.
