concept is obviously inspired by hl2, basically I want to make a simple run and gun game to show off swr, going to be pretty short, you just to need get from point A to point B, going to have 3 weapons to show melee, single action, and auto fire. So far just one enemy type, a flying droid, but might get something else in there. stay tuned

Sounds good mate. Half-Life 2 was a fantastic game and very tense during the first few levels when escaping city 17. I look forward to seeing more of this as you continue to develop it.

iv been doing alot of work on the side of textures and modeling (as it turns out I am going to need a little more than details for this project), but Iv decided to give a little demo to show of the layout of the first level. Enemies have been removed for now due to a glitch where they can shoot through walls, which makes it a little unfair. also, the alien model in there is not really ,textured, nor is it animated, I whipped up a test texture for him for now, anyway, URL is hidden from guests, please register and login to view the hyperlink

Great work so far, when you add more sound effects such as walking, jumping and music tracks or ambience for the level it'll be even better. I like the alient model too. Not only that but what I did find very impressive was the feeling of scale, starting in that little archway and looking out it felt like you were a small person in a big world, it's great.

thanks, sound effects will be added definitely, including an alien voice similar to the vortiguls in hl2, or the aliens from district 9, even though it'll be gibberish, it wil be kinda cool, aswell as music when I get around to finding or making something that fits.

That was pretty neat. I am a sucker for that combination of futuristic and old architecture. The aliens'll be cool when they get some sounds and animations. One thing, I thought was that the gate was too hard to get through. I wasn't sure if I was meant to go through there or not. In the end, I managed to, of course, but I think that gap should be widened a bit, to make it more obvious/easy.

il see what I can do, swr can only rotate walls by 45', as far as I know, but il see if I can work something out

Isn't it possible to do finer adjustments by holding the control key or something? Or is that just in SW2?

I think just sw2, but il check, migt end up just doing a stack of boxes, liek in hl2, cept you wont be able to pick them up and get back around this time
