SW2 looks like it'll make game development very smooth. I like how you can add depth to the walls, everything looks fast, easy, and powerful. Keep it up, and thanks for the hard work!

I love the editor... it looks really professional. I'm happy we won't be using a 2d editor to make our games anymore. Exactly 21 days, 56 minutes till it launches!

Good, good.

Is it possible to add a conversation? Something like player approaches NPC and the text appears.

Second question, I don't think SW2 contains this, but can engine handle cutscenes? Evan the simpliest, when hero and NPCs are going from one waypoint to another and other actions freezes for the time of cutscene.

Is number of textures per level limited?

Did you put game files in separated folders?

But i mean cutscenes based on game engine (like in Warcraft III for example), not real movies.

No, I don't think in-game cutscenes will be in SW2.
As far as NPC conversations, maybe a trigger could be set that makes text appear? I don't know.

i made that with exits in 1.1 but you couldnt leave if you did unless you use some cleaver trigger placement

You can raise the the camera, and rotate down, so the editor would be similar to the current editor.

how many levels high can you go and can you start on say the second floor to make a basement
Unlimited levels. You can start whereever you want. Even in the air!

Is it possible to add a conversation?
Yes, simple conversation can be added using triggers. Once the player touches a trigger, a text would appear.

Second question, I don't think SW2 contains this, but can engine handle cutscenes
It is also possible with triggers. You can play a video, when a player touches a trigger.

Is number of textures per level limited
Currently it is set to 255 per game. But it is extendable easily if needed.

Did you put game files in separated folders
The game files are stored in one folder. But they are ENCRYPTED.

That would be cool for an intro but I think with some ingenious thinking you probably could pull it off with what he has given us.

Percsich, could you add another demo with presentation of triggers?

I was just playing Doom/Plutonia again for kicks. It's loaded with triggers. Take a step and doors open/close, elevators rise. With the Tab/minimap you can see them greyed out. The device triggered usually doesn't have to be beside you. It can be way across the other side of the map. Remember the games with the message "a door has opened elsewhere".

I expect they will be a little designtime(invisible at runtime) icon on your map with a very small module of code to specify the action the affected object performs.

You know, it's going to be interesting to see how much functionality the programmer exposes for the game designer. Basic is a very easy language to work with, and the more code that is exposed, the better I will like it, thank you. This could also be very educational too, for the non-programmers here.

Can there be scripted real time cut scenes, or in a later version?

From what i've heard, no... no scripted cut-scenes... which sucks... but i'm not complaining.... in 18 days i'll complain...but until then, i just want it to be finished and ready to go!
