I didn't know if this is what you wanted, but you can bounce. I think that it would be best if there was a slight delay between jumps... Just a thought.

Also, when you jump onto an edge, you get forced up, like you are being pulled up.... Again, i don't know if this is what you want, but it is something i noticed.

Spherical collision - the collision bounding box around your character has round edges so when you drag sideways you lift a small amount.

How the heck do you know that?! Geez, I was happy learning the exact collision boxes on Super Smash Bros. Melee, and then you bring this up...I hate collision boxes.

There's no good solution. Exact form fitting collision boxes around your character is like adding high polygon mesh skins; a hit on performance. Rectangular collision boxes mean your character is "walking stairs" in 3 directions when it rubs against objects. I did ask a developer using DarkBasic to try a vertical circular column for a collision box once, but never got a result. Spherical collision is used a lot. Be thankful it's not circular and your character is a virtual fat man.

Then again, I could be all wet because no one has seen SW2 yet.

Lol... fat man hero! Okay, i figured it was something with friction direction directly tangent to a spherical or rounded collision box, or even just tangent collision planes contacting each other and the friction direction moving it in the vertical direction...

Either way, i was just pointing out 2 simple things i noticed, to see if it was something that was needed to be fixed (NOTE: I do do work with other 3d things, and do a LOT of work with game maker....and am currently taking AP calc...) So math and things of this sort are fun to me!
